Triple P ist eines der wenigen Elternprogramme auf der Welt, das auf Forschung basiert und dessen Wirksamkeit überprüft wird. Das bedeutet, dass es evidenzbasiert ist. Seit über 35 Jahren wird international zu Triple P geforscht, die Evidenzbasis wächst kontinuierlich.
Es gibt mittlerweile mehr als 280 evaluierte Studien, darunter 146 randomisierte Kontrollgruppenstudien, die zeigen, dass Triple P für die meisten Familien funktioniert – und sich in verschiedenen Kulturen, sozio-ökonomischen Gruppen und Familienstrukturen als wirksam und hilfreich erweist.
